Happy Birthday Parker!!!

Parker celebrated his 6th Birthday yesterday! He started off the day with doughnuts for breakfast...a new "tradition" he got from his awesome Kindergarten teacher! He met some friends at Big Cheese Pizza for lunch and games after school, and then he finished off the day with a little family party! This was his "no party" year. Usually we go someplace fun as a family...like Legoland, Disneyland, etc. but since he got to go on his special 6 year old trip to Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa this year, we decided to do something a little different!

Parker got a Wii!!!

He finished off the night by writing in the class Birthday Journal! Overall we think he had great birthday! Of course, after the kids were off to bed, Kristen and Shane stayed up until all hours playing the Wii! And yes, Kristen wooped up on Shane in boxing! (She lost everything else, but whose keeping track?!)

We Love the Christmas Tree Farm!

Saturday morning we took everyone to the Christmas Tree Farm! Rylie has been wanting to go ever since the pumpkin came out at Halloween! Everyone had a great time...and the moms especially loved the awesome holiday shop! We were the only ones there for a while...it was great having the rides all to ourselves! Rylie still loves the big slide...although she didn't scream as loud going down as she did last year!
The rock wall is a new addition! The boys loved climbing it! They almost made it to the top!
Yes, Kristen even climbed it! Rylie and Shane did too! Of course, Shane is the only one who made it all the way to the top...what do you expect...he has over a foot on all of us!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving at our house is always fun...and CRAZY!!! This year we were blessed enough to have both sets of grandparents here! (Good thing they get along...we don't have a very big house!) It has been wall to wall people, but well worth the fun!
Our most BEAUTIFUL turkey...right out of the oven...go Shane!
Our annual Thanksgiving day watergun fight...Rylie was right in the mix this year, thanks to a little help from Grandpa!
Mason couldn't get away fast enough!
Rylie was another favorite target!
Shane and Parker, taking a little break!
Dinner is finally ready!
Grandpa Don and Grandma

We hope you had a great holiday...we're off to eat some pie!

SURPRISE!!!

On Saturday, Kristen's mom and dad flew into town to surprise the kids! They are staying for Thanksgiving, but the main purpose of their visit was to take Parker to Disneyland! When the grandkids turn six, Grandma and Grandpa take them to Disneyland for 3 days of fun and one on one time! Parker has been anxiously awaiting his turn! Their faces were priceless when they saw that their grandparents were here, but when Parker found out he was going to Disneyland he was beyond words! Grandma and Grandpa came in the house after the kids met them outside and the first thing Parker did was take out Mason's scrapbook from his Disney Trip. Parker didn't ask if he was going, he just looked at the book in front of his grandparents...subtle hint!
They played around with him for a little while, and then grandma gave him his official disney shirts for the trip! That's when Parker realized that he was actually going to go! I've never seen Parker fold clothes before...he loved those shirts!

This morning they were off! Parker had the hardest time falling asleep last night and this morning he flew out of bed and was ready before we knew it! We can't wait to hear all about his trip!

Soccer Season Comes to an End!!!

Mason and Parker are our two little soccer players. They love soccer and they both had a great season!

Parker played for the under 6 division Fireballs. He probably scored around 50 goals this season...no lie! (It didn't hurt that he practiced with his big brothers team since his dad was one of the coaches!) In under 6 they play on a half field. Parker could get the ball from one end of the field to the other with just one kick! He was the tallest kid on the team...a first for one of our kids! He did an awesome job and is ready to move up to the next division next year!

Mason played for the under 10 division Arsenal. While he played all of the positions, he spent most of his time as the goalie. He does a pretty good job...his mom gets pretty nervous when he is the goalie, but it does make the games more exciting! This was his first year in U-10, and he played on a much larger field. The kids are much more competitive at this level...and it showed! Mason did score a goal this season and he was invited to try out for the all-star team! He enjoyed being on a team with a few of his good buddies, Evan, Giovanni, and Kyle, and he even liked having his dad as one of his coaches!

Rylie is especially excited for next season because she will get to play...watch out!!!
