Yucaipa Athletics Soccer

Yesterday was our first club soccer game! Mason has been invited to play on a new club team, named the Yucaipa Athletics. We are seeing how things go over the next month before we make the huge commitment (and figure out how we are going to juggle soccer and baseball at the same time) but so far we love it!
This is the first time Mason played on a full field! I'm sure it was a bit overwhelming!

Mason loves his coaches and his trainer, and he is learning so much!
His buddy Evan is on his team...they are having so much fun together!

Even though they lost their first game, it was so much fun to see Mason back on a soccer field! He loves this sport!

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day this year! Here are a few highlights!
We started the day off with breakfast at IHOP...the kids loved it!
When we got home, the kids made Valentine's for some people, and got a few special deliveries! These are the teddy bears and balloons they got from Grandma and Grandpa Bloomfield!
Then they got their package from Texas from Grandma and Grandpa Bills!
Then came their Valentine's from us...can you say spoiled!
Rylie made us a special little something at school! It was her hand print...painted in red and pink...of course!
Then it was time for our BIG DATE! Kay came and got the kids. She took them to see Hotel for Dogs...they loved it! Then she watched the kids for us so we could go out!
Everything about our Valentine's Date was a big secret! First Shane took me to the Plum Tree Inn in LA for dinner! It was so good! Here I am with my fortune...it was actually a pretty good one!
Then we headed over to the Pantages to see, The Phantom of the Opera!!!! I was so excited!!! Shane actually got our tickets back in November! (I was very impressed with that...he usually has plans...but doesn't do anything about them until the last minute! He totally over achieved!) I absolutely loved it...I think Shane liked it too!

Let's Play...and Dance!

First of all...because no one believed us...YES Danelle and I had a Guitar Hero play date this afternoon...and it was awesome! Contrary to what she may tell you, I did not rig her guitar!
The kids were in the playroom the entire time! I was a terrible hostess to them...no snacks or anything...after all...I was busy! Danelle and I decided that we need to do this more often...and that we might even invite a few other people to make up the rest of the band!
Tonight was the first annual CHES Family Dance! Rylie got all dressed up in her Valentine's Best...and she was quite full of herself before we left!
Nice face Ry-ry!
We literally had to drag Mason and Parker out of the house! They did not want to go! Parker hung out on the bench against the wall most of the night...but there were a few songs he got up for! I think his favorite was the Chicken Dance! (We did that one together!)
Stacey, Celine, Jill and I...the members of the PTSA Board who braved the dance!
After A LOT of dragging, Lindsay finally got Mason out on the dance floor! (You should have seen how red his face got the first time she came to get him off the wall! Granted...he never came back and hung out with her, Evan, and some other girls all night!)
I finally got Parker on the floor for a slow dance!
Ok...if you've ever seen Rylie and Lauren dance, you know this girl can "bust a move"! She definitely didn't get those dance genes from her parents! In the end, the kids had a great time and were glad we went!
Last but not least...this is my new Neti Pot. Adrienne gave it to me because she loves me! I tried it out tonight...wow...that was a first for me!

Because We LOVE to Party!!!

Saturday was Party Day for us!
It started (very early for me...) with Parker, Rylie, and I going to Isabelle's birthday party!
She had it at one of those bounce house places...it was so much fun!!! (That's Rylie with Elder Gray in the princess bounce house!)
Parker spent a lot of time in this one...I think it was his favorite!
After Isabelle's party, we picked up Mason and Shane and headed out to the Knoll's for McKay's party! Here I am with Monica and Jaylene...we haven't all been together since Yosemite this past summer...it was great to see everyone! And yes...I know I'm short!
McKay had the Lizard Wizard come to his party...he came to Mason's party a few years ago...he is amazing! After his demonstration, he does a petting zoo with all the reptiles! There were frogs, snakes and lizards everywhere! I wasn't too sure about holding this snake...but I was trying to be really brave and not freak out in front of my boys!
Parker got really brave with the "around the neck" action!
I was very happy to hand this one off to Mason!
Rylie was glad to play with the frogs, but she wasn't too sure about the snakes!

After the party, we raced home to drop the kids with the sitter and Shane and I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. If you haven't seen it...you should...it was great! I cried through almost the entire movie! Shane didn't...but he still liked it!

Last Minute Visitors!

So...this past weekend I got a call from Aimee!!! They were in So. Cal to go to Disneyland and because of the weather, asked if they could make a last minute stop at our place for the night! Sheri popped over to say hi...we had way too much fun!
Rylie and Mackenzee were so excited to see each other! They gave each other a hug at the door and then they were off...like they just saw each other yesterday!
Mac with all the girls!
So...of course, we had to play the Wii! Shane hung with us until just after midnight...but Mac was all business! Finally around 2 a.m. Aimee put her foot down! We mostly played the Olympics...Mac kept saying, "one more circuit"! And yes, I lost! It was still fun though!
Parker...the morning they were leaving...he was just ready to go!

Thanks for stopping by Wayments! We miss you!!!

So Long Elder Gray!

Elder Gray got transferred to Riverside yesterday...WE WILL MISS HIM!
He and Elder Jensen...thank goodness Jensen is staying...it would have been TOO sad if they were both leaving!
He and Rylie
Elders Gray and Jensen with two other Elders in our area
So...Elder Gray understands my WICKED obsession like few others...so I couldn't let him leave without a Grimmerie of his own!
My kiddos with the Elders...they love them!

The BIG Game!

So...of course I watched the Superbowl! It was a much better game than I had anticipated...even if my team did end up losing. No...I'm not an Arizona fan (which would be why I had on a Cardinals Baseball shirt instead of a football jersey...but hey...it was red and it said Cardinals...so it did the job!) but I'M NOT A STEELERS FAN by any means...so today it was all about Arizona!
We got together with Greg and Karolin...we watch the game together every year. Here I am with their "little" boy Jaden...he's my boyfriend!
Of course Karolin came with tons of good food...even a football cake!
Here are Shane and Greg...enjoying the game.
So...this weekend was also tryouts for baseball. I had Shane take the boys...so my friend Susie took this picture of Parker during his tryout...she's the best!
My boys think they like football these days...so they spend lots of time in the backyard playing...
A few weeks ago, Dallin came over and played with them a little bit...they loved it! This is the first year they were even interested in the Superbowl. It was actually pretty fun watching it with them...they even got into it a little bit! Not as much as their mom, but I'm sure that will come in time!
