Kari and Mom flew in on Wednesday night. We went out to eat Thursday morning and then got pedicures while we waited to go get Kelsey at the airport. When Kelsey landed she was pretty surprised to see mom! Kelsey's exact words when she saw mom were, "what are you doing here?!" We spent the rest of Thursday by going shopping and going out to lunch. Did you notice I only said that Kari, Kelsey, and Mom came...no kids or hubbies (even though we love them very much)! It was an all girls weekend!!!
Friday morning we were off to Disneyland! Yes, we were nerds and all dressed alike! (That way if one of us got lost we'd be able to remember what each other looked like...ha ha!) Mom stayed home to watch my kids. I still can't get used to going there without a stroller! It is so crazy to just get out of the car and start walking! We went on Space Mountain first, then ran over to California and went on Soarin' over California and the Tower of Terror (twice)! Then we were off to Goofy's kitchen!
Kelsey had fun joining in with all the kids! She even gave Goofy a little slap on the rear with her spatula...you have to watch her!
We spent the rest of the day running from ride to ride!!! We enjoyed the parade and Fantasmic! I think Kari liked Splash Mountain the best...NOT...she was in front and got SOAKED!!! It was pretty funny! We loved our fast passes...we didn't stand in any line for over 20 minutes...and once we got to California Screamin' (the big roller coaster) we discovered SINGLE RIDERS and rode that one twice in less than 10 minutes! We had a great time at Disneyland! We closed down the park and didn't get home until 2 a.m.!!! It was great!
Saturday morning we were off to Hollywood! First we went shopping at The Grove. It was really fun! Kari and Kelsey especially like the entrance to Abercrombie...the live models are definitely a change from the entrances to their stores at home! We ate lunch at Cheesecake Factory and then we were off to Hollywood and Highland to see the sights!

We saw the Kodak Theater, the Chinese Theater, and lots of stars (the ones on the ground that is!) We had told Kelsey that we were taking her someplace fun for dinner. She was letting her mind carry her away...and we were happy to feed her curiosity! So...when we walked into the Pantages to see Wicked, she was very surprised...and excited! It was amazing! Mom and I had seen it before (for those of you who have been keeping track...yes, it was my third time!) but Kari and Kelsey hadn't seen it...and they loved it!
Everyone took off Tuesday morning! It was a great time! It is sad that we live so far away from each other, but we are very lucky to have hubbies who understand how much we need our "girl" time and let us party every now and then without them!!!
Thanks for the great weekend girlies!!! I love you!!!!

Ok, I knew you'd be the first one to have it all up and posted. I'm sitting here listening to "Wicked" and downloading all my pictures. Maybe tomorrow will be the day I get it all done! I did have a GREAT time! I absolutely loved it! Thanks so much again! I love you!!!!
Sounds like a blast! I think doing Disney without kids is a great idea. :)
Now I'll have to look at Kelsey's version...
It looks like you girls had a blast! I knew you would! Being with your mom and sisters is so much fun!!! You make me want to plan a girl's weekend with mine. Maybe we'll steal your 30 idea:)
HOW FUN! I'm jealous, I want my sisters to come down here so we can play! (oh, and when they do, you're totally invited!)
It looks like you guys had so much fun! I'm so glad you got to do it!
Jellis!! How much fun was that!?! AND YES... when we do come down we need to find a time to hook up or something. I'm actually going to get a pedi with my cousin, aunt, and little sister tomorrow night. Alli... I'll take a framed picture of "cuteteeth" with me so as to feel that you are there. LOVE YOU SIS!
