The BIG Day!

So...yesterday was my birthday! No...I'm not saying how old I am...you'll just have to figure it out (or look on my cake)! I will give you a hint...I AM OLD!!! I did have the best birthday ever though!!!

My day started with my kids and husband singing to me and bringing me breakfast in bed...with the option to go back to sleep when I was done! It was great! After that, we hung out with the Padgetts for most of the day...the kids swam and played with the boys and Lo...it was great!Then, last night the real celebrating began! Here I am with Adrienne and Paula...my Twilight buddies! Like our "bite me" shirts...they are our "official" Edward t-shirts! We went to dinner at Outback with our hubbies, and then we were off to Barnes & Noble for the Breaking Dawn book release party! (Yes, we left in the Corolla and the guys left in the "man van"!) The guys knew we were anxious to get out of there...so they made sure they got in front of us in the parking lot and they drove as slow as they could...they're so funny!There were all sorts of activities going on at the book store while we waited for our books to be released at midnight, so the first thing we did was the reading of our taro cards. My future card was especially interesting...apparently there is a big change coming to my life...I'm hoping it's nothing too life altering!After that we made corsages, watched people get Henna Tattoos, and we even drank some Vampire Juice! Then it was time for us to line up outside and wait for our books! It was crazy...there were SO many people there...and NO...we weren't the oldest ones there!

Here we are after "the big moment"! WE HAVE OUR BOOKS!!! It's great having friends to share your obsessions with!!!

After we left B&N...we went to Adrienne's house for an all nighter to read our books! We got there just before 1 a.m. and we were all business! Paula had to take off around 5 a.m. but Adrienne and I kept reading until I finally came home at 11 a.m.! NO PEOPLE...WE DIDN'T GO TO SLEEP! Our breakfast consisted of wheat thins and Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew...we didn't even stop to eat that gourmet meal in the kitchen!

I came home find the house all decorated for my birthday and Shane was baking me a birthday cake! We celebrated my birthday tonight! Rylie made sure I put on my birthday crown the second I walked in the door!

There is the BIG NUMBER!!! My family spoiled me rotten! Here is my pink cover for my guitar (for guitar hero, of course)!!!
My other present from Shane was that he watched the kids all day so that I could finish my book...YES...I FINISHED IT!!!! ALL 754 PAGES!!! I LOVED IT!!! And...for all of you Jacob lovers out there...I actually ended up liking Jacob...not for Bella of course, but he ended up being ok in the end...in my opinion! I'm not going to throw any spoilers out there...but OH MY GOSH!!! Wait until you read it!!! Yes, Shane has decided that my Twilight obsession is some sort of an early mid-life crisis thing...but he's being an awesome sport about it!

Seeing as I have been up since 7:30 a.m. YESTERDAY...and it is almost 10:00 p.m. TODAY...I'm going to bed! Oh...and that would be why I look SO BEAUTIFUL in my guitar picture above!
