Ok...so as I mentioned earlier...Shane and I were in Alaska last week...on a cruise! It was amazing! The post is forthcoming...I promise!
Anyway, yesterday we were thrown back into WAY TOO MUCH REALITY! For one, my kids are all of a sudden in school...but that was nothing compared to what came later in the day!
The "series of events" started when I dropped my eyeshadow on the floor...and ended up with a little pile of dust. I remember being very mad about this, but thinking that if that was the worst thing that was going to happen yesterday that I could handle that! BOY WAS I WRONG!
When I got home from picking the kids up at school, there was a message from an insurance agency wanting to talk to Shane about the accident he was in earlier that day...WHAT???!!! Upon calling him, he told me that he was the last car hit in a 3 car chain reaction on the freeway! Thank goodness another Corolla hit him...he has some deep scratches on his bumper from her front plate, which unfortunately means that his whole bumper needs to be replaced...but it could have been a lot worse! His car isn't even a year old!
So then, through out the day, I noticed that there was water dripping from the water dispenser on my fridge. I just thought that the kids were playing with it. Upon looking at it, Shane realized that the freezer was defrosting and that the fridge and freezer were no longer cold! We were both convinced that our $455 fridge we purchased on e-bay when we moved here 6 years ago was on its last leg! Shane ran to the store for ice and he moved everything we wanted into coolers. Today the repair man came and thank goodness it is only the fan and we don't have to buy a new fridge! The only bad thing is that they need to order the part, so we are fridgeless until the end of the week! 
So, the big cooler is the freezer and the little one is the fridge until further notice!WELCOME HOME KRISTEN AND SHANE!!!

Did you really think you could take a vacation and come home to peace? Can't do much about the car or fridge, but I am putting in a MaryKay order let me know what eyeshadow you need.
P.S. Saw your mom on the Blvd. talking the kids to Bakers on Saturday.
Don't you hate coming home from vacation!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!! Sorry about the fridge....look at it this way - your grocery bill will be small this week. Only because you can't fit much in your cooler....then again - your take out bill is probably bigger! Hey - I would take full advantage of this and explain you just can't cook for the week!! YEAH!
